Information about the Gardening Club

Red House School Gardening Club is run by Mrs Janette Scott and Mrs Lara Roberts with volunteer help from the children and parents of Red House School. It takes place once a week on Thursday lunchtimes and is open to children from the age of 7 to 11. Red House School has excellent facilities for young gardeners, with well kept borders, lawns and rose beds.

We believe that by giving young people the opportunity to grow and look after plants of all varieties, they tend to respect nature and its place in modern society. The club may even lead to some children becoming keen gardeners later in life. Every year flower pots are planted and presented at the entrance to the school. In addition plant containers add a splash of colour around the school grounds making Red House School a brighter and more colourful place to be during the summer months.
