Cash for Kids

A huge thank you to all who contributed presents to the TFM Cash for Kids appeal. Cash for Kids is the new name for Make a Child Smile and is the official charity of TFM Radio & Magic 1170 supporting local children of Tees Valley, North Yorkshire & County Durham who are either sick or under-privileged.

Lots of Christmas presents, which were placed under the Nursery & Infant School Christmas tree, were donated by pupils and parents. To thank all the pupils for their kindness and generosity, 'Courage the Cat' paid a visit to the morning assembly assisted by Katy Winderschladen of TFM. The children thoroughly enjoyed spending time with 'Courage' and having their photograph taken with him.

The charity is now in its 13th year with 2008 being the most successful raising over £581,000 supporting 15,000 of the area's most needy children.
