Red House Pupil to Star in West End Musical
The bright lights of London's West End are beckoning for Hannah-Lucy Jackson (Year 4) as she sets off on a theatrical journey in the footsteps of Jamie Bell of 'Billy Elliot' fame. Hannah-Lucy, a member of Stagecoach, has been selected to perform an excerpt from 'Billy Elliot' the musical, along with some of her Darlington-based friends. Hannah-Lucy has been treading the boards for some time now having started when she was 4 years old. Her talent has obviously not gone unnoticed as she has been chosen to star in the dance musical at the Darlington Arts Centre from 20th-23rd July and also for one night in the London West End performance of 'Billy Elliot'.
As a member of only a few youth theatre groups that have been selected to take part in the musical, Hannah-Lucy is really excited about taking part in the show, which will be full of professional actors and dancers. On the night of the big performance Hannah-Lucy and her Stagecoach friends will perform the 'Born to Boogie' scene.
Congratulations to Hannah-Lucy for grasping the opportunity to fulfill any young dancers dream to perform in the revered London West End in front of a live audience and in the company of the worlds leading showbusiness talent..
