Reception
Reception Class at Red House offers children a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment which encourages children to explore and investigate. Children’s learning is extended and supported through a wide range of teacher led activities and first hand experiences. Children are able to practice and consolidate their learning in whole group, small group, paired and one-to-one sessions.
Motivation to learn is developed through
topics such as ‘Ourselves’, ‘Transport’ and ‘Minibeasts’. The children
are encouraged to talk about their own experiences and bring in objects
from home that link in with the termly topics. Teachers and parents
work together to support each child’s learning and to ensure they reach
their full potential.
