Welcome to Red House

Red House School is a co-educational Independent day school situated in the picturesque village of Norton in Stockton-on-Tees. Founded in 1929, Red House enjoys an enviable reputation as a school committed to providing the highest standards in dedicated, high quality teaching for boys and girls between the ages of three and sixteen.

stainedglass.jpgAdd to that an excellent academic reputation, outstanding sport, music and arts and Red House gives an all round education of high quality in a secure, family atmosphere for students who have the potential to benefit from a full range of GCSEs.

Maintaining a blend of traditional values and a forward-looking approach to education, Red House is a close knit community in which pastoral care is seen as a top priority. The confidence which our pupils gain from this encouraging family atmosphere enables them to fulfil their potential in work and play.

First class facilities for boys and girls from Nursery through to Year 3 are found in our recently extended Nursery and Infant School, situated in the delightful surroundings of Norton Green adjacent to St. Mary’s Church.

The Main School, which is housed in the historic and imposing red-brick manor house overlooking Norton Green and duck pond, comprises both a Preparatory and Senior School, providing continuous high quality education from Year 4 through to Year 11.

We believe the boys and girls at Red House Independent School are a testimony to the pride we take in making our school a warm, friendly and caring environment in which to spend your school years, the extent of which can only be appreciated by visiting us in person.
