What a week it’s been! Thank you for your assistance getting the children into school and for the gratitude expressed toward my colleagues for their endeavours. I believe some parents have said we turned pupils away on Thursday. This is not the case: we were just honest with parents, saying we were happy to provide emergency childcare on both sides of the Green but could not deliver the curriculum. To suggest otherwise is a disservice to my colleagues who volunteered to keep the school going when many other schools were not accepting any pupils.
On a more positive note, I visited classrooms today and saw the children fully engaged; I’m glad to see their quest for knowledge has not waned!
Thank you & Goodbye
Heather Jefferson, my PA, leaves Red House after more than 15 years of wonderful service. I would like to thank her for the tremendous support she has given me and my predecessors. She has offered much to life at Red House and we all wish her the very best for her well-deserved retirement.
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Please remember to book your tickets for Joseph via email@example.com Adult ‘tickets’ cost £8 and those for children, £5. We will not be physically issuing tickets and will just have a list on the door each night to make life a little simpler.
PTA Quiz Night
Thank you to the staff and PTA members who organised this highly successful evening. I’ve heard very positive reports from parents and pupils and these events only happen with a lot of hard work behind the scenes.
We have a number of items heavily discounted at the moment. Should you need some uniform to tide the children over until September, please visit the school website. The new prices can be viewed on the new order form.
I hope you have a lovely, trouble free weekend. Let’s hope the gas supplies last and the supermarket shelves are fully stocked!
With best wishes
