I am stepping in as guest editor this week as Mr James is currently in the capable hands of the NHS.  He is awaiting an unexpected operation (nothing too serious) but is, as ever, in good spirits and looking forward to being back on his feet soon.

Exam Week

The pupils have impressed us this week with their positive approach to their exams.  I am sure that they will very much be looking forward to recharging their batteries and, hopefully, enjoying some sunshine over the coming week.

Bugsy Malone

The booking office is now open for our brilliant production of Bugsy Malone.  We have four performances: 7pm on Wednesday 3, Thursday 4 and Friday 5 July, with an earlier performance starting at 5pm on Saturday 6 July.  Adult ‘tickets’ are priced at £9 and those for children are £5. We do hope to see lots of parents at our performances: tell your friends too!   Seats can be booked via: boxoffice@redhouseschool.co.uk  and the cost will be added to your account.  As with previous productions, we will not be physically issuing tickets and will just have a list on the door each night to make life a little simpler.

PTA Bag2School

Bags have been sent home with pupils today. Please donate any unwanted items (no school uniform) and return to school for collection on Monday 10 June at 9am. Filled bags can be left at reception on both sides of the pond.

Cinema Night

Thank you to the PTA for organising today’s Cinema Night.  Our younger pupils are very much looking forward to watching Mary Poppins and Zootropolis.

Future PTA events

The PTA is looking forward to welcoming parents of children in Nursery and Reception to a special Father’s Day service in the Barn on the afternoon of Wednesday 12 June.  They are also busy making preparations for our ever-popular School Fete on Saturday 22 June (11am-3pm).  This is always a fun day for pupils and parents alike, so make sure you put the date in your diary!

We would all like to wish you and your family a lovely half term.

With best wishes
