Dear Parents

It’s been wonderful to hear and see the children in school and we look forward to welcoming Years 3 & 4 on Monday too.  Whilst the educational outlook for September remains uncertain, please be assured that we continue to plan for most scenarios.  We have looked at various staffing models and are considering spaces which can be utilised for teaching.  We have already bought some mobile interactive panels for alternative teaching spaces and these are being put to good use. We wish to see all the children back with us and we’re certainly in a better position than most schools.  We will do all that we can to achieve this for September; let’s hope we’re allowed to do so.

Holiday Club

We will be offering Holiday Club and Sports Club over the summer but will be limiting the number of children who can attend and, no doubt, the activities the children will be able to do will also be affected.  Initially, priority will be given to the children of key workers and then both clubs will be opened up to other pupils.  Further details will be with you shortly.

We will be completing reports on the children this term, very much focusing on progress made throughout the year and not just during lockdown.  The reports may be a little delayed, perhaps arriving after the end of term.

Drop offs – Senior School

A number of pupils on the Senior School site are arriving 15 minutes early and lining up outside school.  Please can I ask that the children do not arrive on the school site before 8.25am/8.40am.  Whilst I appreciate this may be inconvenient for parents trying to get to work, we need to follow protocols to ensure everyone stays safe.  Many thanks for your co-operation.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

With best wishes

Ken James
