It was good to see so many of you on Monday at the Norton Fayre. Red House has been on The Green for decades and we very much need to be a part of the Norton community. Whilst many of the children travel into the village each day, I think we all benefit from being part of a vibrant community. Should you have any ideas as to how we can become more involved in the life of Norton and Teesside generally, do get in touch.
Thank you to those of you helping tomorrow. This is traditionally a quieter Open Morning for us but we still need to be showing the very best of Red House to those who do visit. Please feel free to help us buck the trend by bringing friends along!
The Ball is almost upon us (note to self: check dinner jacket still fits!). Confirmation letters have now been emailed to all those attending so, if you have ordered tickets and not received a confirmation email, please contact Lesley (LWratten@no-sour-business.co.uk). Many thanks to Lesley and the team: I’ve sure it’s going to be a wonderful night. If you cannot make the Ball but wish to support the PTA, please see the attached letter inviting you to buy raffle tickets.
End of Year Celebrations
Please save the following dates:
- Prize Giving (Years 7-10) Wednesday 5 July 2pm
- Festival of Achievement (N & I School) Thursday 13 July 9-10.30am
- Prize Giving (Years 4-6) Thursday 13 July 11.30-1pm
All events will be held in the Hall in the Prep & Senior School. I very much look forward to acknowledging the achievements of the children at these events.
Head of Key Stage 1
I am delighted to announce that Nicola Warnock has been appointed to lead Key Stage 1 in September. She will be working closely with Simon Haywood to ensure we continue to offer the children the very best opportunities possible.
I was delighted to receive a ‘break a leg’ message from Jodie Prenger this week. Jodie won the talent show I’d Do Anything in 2008 and went on to play Nancy in the West End revival of the show. The Red House revival is going to be just as successful and, if you’d like to help we’d love to hear from you. We’d love help with the following:
- hair and make up
- refreshments at the interval
- organising and selling tickets for Raffle
- selling programmes
- sound and lighting help/expertise
- usher/usherette duties!
- sponsorship opportunities
If you’re keen to help, do get in touch.
Have a lovely weekend!
With best wishes
