How wonderful to see the children in the Junior School resplendent in blue and pink, running to support such a great cause yesterday. Thank you to the staff for organising the event and to the parents and family who were able to cheer on from the side-lines.
Once again, I would like to seek your views on different areas of school life. The survey has been deliberately written using open-ended questions so please be as concise or verbose as you like. As is always the case, you can complete the survey anonymously or put your name to your comments (which I always feel is helpful and will never affect your relationship with the school!). I will be reading every response and discussing general themes with colleagues and School Council in due course. The closing date is Wednesday 31 October and I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to contribute to the ongoing development of our school. If you require the link to the survey re-sending via email please contact the school office.
Part of the survey above is dedicated to the co-curricular life of the school. If any parents wish to volunteer to run clubs in school, please do get in touch. Mr Haywood runs the programme in the Junior School with Mrs Blyth doing so in the Senior School. Whilst some activities might fall below the H&S threshold (fire eating for example!) I’m sure we have lots of talented parents who can help us expand our provision.
Nominations for School Council
The AGM of School Council will be held on Wednesday 28 November at 7pm. Any parents wishing to be considered for a place on School Council should contact Miss Victoria Duncan, our Chair, to discuss the process of nomination and election. Victoria can be contacted via either school office.
PTA Bonfire Event
Please see details attached of the PTA Bonfire Event – we look forward to once again seeing many Red House families support this fantastic event.
Uniform & Sports Kit
Please can you ensure all items of uniform and PE kit are labelled and the labels are easy to find. This will help us reunite pupils with missing items and know when children are wearing items belonging to others.
Christmas Card Project – Years 1-6
Please note that the deadline for these to be returned is this Monday (1 October).
Thanks to those parents helping tomorrow as members of the PTA and members of School Council. Thank you also to those dropping the children off and picking them up. Having the children talking about their wonderful school to prospective pupils is so important to the success of the event and I am sure they will be fine ambassadors tomorrow.
I hope you have a lovely weekend!
With best wishes
