Dear Parents,

It’s hard to believe I only have four weeks left with the children.  I’ve thoroughly enjoyed five wonderful years at Red House; which is the longest I’ve ever worked at any school in my career.  This is testament to how rewarding I have found my time here.  I will miss watching the children flourish in the years to come but the school is being left in exceptional hands: I am delighted with Dr Ashcroft’s appointment.

Sports Days

We will be running these events for the children, albeit in a slightly different way this year.  The events for the EYFS through to Year 3 will be run as separate year group events and we are able to invite one parent per pupil.  The events for Years 4-6 and Years 7-10 will be ‘played’ behind closed doors I’m afraid and parents cannot attend these events.  I know this is disappointing news but thank you for your support with this.  Individual letters are attached below for your information.

Sun Cream & Caps

Given the current improvement in the weather, please can I remind you to apply sun cream each morning.  There is also the option to wear an RHS sports cap with uniform and these are available from the uniform shop.

COVID-19 LFD Test Kits

LFD kits, provided to school from Public Health, are coming home with children in Year 7-10 today. Please continue to test the pupils on Mondays and Thursdays.

Car Parking

Please can I remind you to park sensitively around the perimeter of the school; we wish to promote positive relations with our neighbours.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

With best wishes

Ken James
