Dear Parents

Teacher of English

Some of you may have seen our advert for a teacher of English.  Mr Mike Brown is stepping down at Christmas after many years of wonderful service to Red House.  We have already received some very strong applications and, with a week to the closing date, we’re confident of making an excellent appointment.

PTA Ball

Thank you to the PTA for arranging this lovely event last Friday night.  It was great to see so many members of our school community coming together to enjoy this fun event.  Thank you for bringing your friends too: it’s always lovely to let others know about our warm and friendly community.

Year 7 2020

We have seen unprecedented interest for Year 7 2020 and Claire Bellerby, in Admissions, is currently arranging for pupils to sit their entrance assessments early to give parents certainty.  Should you know of anyone wishing to join us, please ask them to get in touch as soon as possible.

Bugsy Malone

I’m very much looking forward to this extravaganza at the end of the year.  Tickets will be made available from next week.  Watch this space!

Caps

The new school caps have been flying off the shelf.  With only a few available, I would suggest contacting Ann in the uniform shop sooner rather than later if you would like to buy one (uniformshop@redhouseschool.co.uk).  The caps can be worn during break time and lunch and will help to keep the children safe should this lovely weather continue.

Angel Wood – Sponsorship

One of our pupils in Year 5, Angel, has been selected to represent England at the Dance World Cup in Portugal next month.  She will be taking part in the tap and modern sections and this is an extraordinary achievement for Angel.  Should any parents know of sponsorships available to support Angel in this venture, please do get in touch with me and I will pass on your contact details to her parents.

With best wishes
