Two Red House pupils peering over the top of What the Ladybird Heard book

Dear Parents,

Whilst I had a wonderful Easter, catching up with friends and godchildren, it was also good to be back in school on Tuesday.  No doubt this term will fly by but there is so much to do.  This term is full of fun events – sports days, the PTA Fete and prizegivings – I look forward to seeing many of you at these events.

Theo George Coverdale
Mrs Coverdale and her husband celebrated the arrival of baby Theo at the beginning of the holidays and it was lovely to see all three of them in school yesterday.  Mrs Coverdale left with registration papers for Theo – it’s never too soon to register a prospective pupil!

Stay & Play: Thursday 9 May
Please encourage friends with children between the ages of 2 and 4 to come and spend the afternoon with us.  Places can be booked by contacting Mrs Green or Mrs Bellerby and further details can be found here.

Twilight Tours: Thursday 9 May
We’ve replaced our usual Saturday Open Morning with an afterschool event ‘Twilight Tours’.  We’d love to see as many children as possible stay in school to support this event and to meet prospective pupils and their parents.  Letters are attached from Mr Haywood and Mrs Blyth.  The Junior School tours are between 4-6pm with the Senior School tours being between 4.30-6.30pm.  Many thanks for promoting this venture.

School Caps
We have replaced the white caps in the Junior School with a red one and these are available to buy from Mrs Green.  We are also introducing a new Senior School cap (red and blue) which is available from Mrs Morton.  Both can be worn during break times and during sports fixtures (where appropriate).

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

With best wishes
