Dear Parent

Thank you for the deposit of £30 that you made for your child to participate in the three day/two night residential trip to London which will take place in the first week of the October half term 2016 (Monday 17th October-Wednesday 19th  October). I am now in a position to give further details of the itinerary and final cost.

Outline Itinerary

On the first day (Monday), pupils will travel to London on the morning and then in the afternoon they will enjoy a visit to Shrek’s Adventure and a flight on the London Eye. Pupils will have their evening meal at Pizza Express. After a busy day, we will check into the hotel in the early evening (exact details of accommodation to be finalised).

On Tuesday, pupils will enjoy a Thames River Cruise in the morning and after a packed lunch (which is provided), we will visit the Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels. Pupils will also have the opportunity to shop for souvenirs and visit Leicester Square. Pupils will have an evening meal at the Rainforest Cafe before they see the evening performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

On our final day (Wednesday), we check out of the hotel and then visit the Natural History Museum. Pupils will have a packed lunch (also provided) and then begin the journey back to Teesside at approximately 2pm. During the return journey, we will stop at a service station for a meal (possibly Burger King). Our estimated arrival time in Teesside is 8pm (times are to be confirmed with the travel company).

Cost

The final cost of the trip is £260 which includes entrance to all the attractions, accommodation, meals and transport. The £260 also includes the cost of a Burger King Meal on the return journey. Payments can be made in full or in two instalments of £130 by Friday 27th May and a final £130 by Friday 1st July.

A parents forum will be held in the Autumn Term prior to our visit to give final details and also to answer any questions you may have. However, if you have any questions about the proposed trip, then please feel free to contact me at school.

Yours faithfully
