Dear Parent

The Theatre Royal in Newcastle will be staging a production of the play “An Inspector Calls” in the February half term holiday next year.  As your son/daughter will be studying this play as part of their GCSE syllabus, I believe it will be an invaluable learning experience for them to see a live version of the play.

I am arranging a trip to see a matinee performance on Saturday 13th February 2016.  The performance will start at 2.30pm and will last for approximately 1 hour 45 minutes without an interval.  I will arrange transport from Red House School to the theatre and return travel to school after the performance.  The combined cost of a ticket and return transport is £29.00 and will be added to your school bill.

This is not a compulsory trip, but it goes without saying that it will be an enriching live theatre experience that will support the English literature GCSE syllabus.

Please complete the slip attached to this letter and return it to myself by Friday 2nd October.  I will confirm timing and transport details nearer the time. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries.

Yours faithfully

Mrs C Fryer
