Children in Need Appeal 2014
As many of you will be aware the BBC’s Children in Need Appeal will take place on Friday 14th November and to mark this event we are inviting pupils and staff to take part in a non-uniform day.
We are asking that all pupils make a donation of £1. Pupils should not dress outlandishly or wear jewellery. This is an opportunity to support a charity and not for pupils to be making a fashion statement. This will, in all other respects, be a normal teaching day.
There will be a variety of events running in order to raise funds for this very worthwhile cause; a ‘tuck shop’ will be held at morning break selling cakes, for between 50p and £1 each; at lunchtime Years 4 -6 will be invited to take part in a treasure hunt for pieces of a Pudsey jigsaw. Each pupil will have to mark, on a map, the location of each piece of the jigsaw and the first person to locate all the pieces will win a prize. The cost of this activity will be £1. Official Children in Need merchandise will be on sale; Pudsey wristbands for £1 and Pudsey key rings priced at £2. Other activities such as ‘guess the name of the bear’ will also run throughout next week, the cost of such additional activities will not exceed 50p per attempt.
I hope that this will be a most enjoyable and successful Children in Need and I wish to thank you in anticipation of your support for these events.
