Dear Parents

The Duke of Edinburgh course continues in the Summer term. Dates of meetings and events are noted in this letter. It is important that students attend all meetings and events to ensure they make the most of their DofE experience.

Wednesday, 13 April:   4pm–4.45pm: Plan aims of final expedition/plan activity/draw route on map

Saturday/Sunday, 16/17 April:        Practice expedition

Wednesday, 20 April:                          No meeting

Wednesday, 27 April:   4pm–4.45pm: Complete and edit route on map/begin route card

Wednesday, 4 May:      4pm–4.45pm: Complete route card descriptions and make transparency of route

Wednesday, 11 May:    4pm–4.45pm: Add escape routes to transparency route card, complete green card and plan menu

Wednesday, 18 May:    4pm–4.45pm:  Complete and hand in all sections for final expedition

  • Route cards for day 1 and 2
  • Transparencies for day 1 and 2
  • Green Card
  • Menu for both days
  • Expedition aims and outcomes

Wednesday, 25 May: 4pm–4.45pm: Optional meeting if required to edit/update route cards etc.  There will be a first aid training session in the second ½ term, the dates for this will be confirmed at a later date. The final expedition will take place in the last week of term so please consider this when booking your summer holidays.
