Dear Parent

I am now in a position to provide you with finalised details for the London theatre trip, which will take place next week on Saturday and Sunday the 17th and 18th September.

Please find enclosed an up to date itinerary for the trip. You will see that the coach will be picking us up from Tesco’s car park on Durham Road (meet by the ‘click and collect’ centre). I’d like us all to meet at 8.15am to complete a register check etc.

Also enclosed, is a medical form that I would like you to complete over the weekend and return to me by Monday morning. This will allow me to complete a personalised risk assessment next week.

There will be 23 pupils from years 7-10 going on the trip (12 girls and 11 boys) with 3 staff (Mrs Fryer, Mrs Auty and Mr Brown). We will also be accompanied by a tour guide and will have the use of a tour bus for the full weekend.

We will be staying at the following hotel:

Premier Inn Heathrow Bath Road

15 Bath Road

If you need to contact me in an emergency my mobile number will be:

I will provide your son/daughter with a card they will be expected to carry, which will contain the address of the hotel and a phone number to contact myself. As mentioned in an earlier letter, I would like your son/daughter to come with a packed lunch to eat on the bus down to London. In addition, I recommend an amount of £30 for pocket money to buy gifts and buy a meal for the return journey.

Once I have received your medical forms, I will hold a meeting to allocate rooming next week.

We will begin the return journey home at 3pm on Sunday. I therefore estimate we will return to Tesco’s car park at 9.30pm. I will, of course, ask your son/daughter to phone you from the coach when we have a more confirmed arrival time.

In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. You can contact me by phone, or at the e-mail address: colette.fryer@redhouseschool.co.uk.

I am very much looking forward to the trip and know that we will all have a wonderful theatre experience!

Yours sincerely

Mrs C Fryer
