Dear Parents,

Nursery visit to Eaglescliffe Forest School .

Nursery children will be visiting Eaglescliffe Forest School, Stockton on Thursday 19th March as part of their topic on ‘Fairy Tales’. They will have the opportunity to explore stories and role play in the outside environment. The children will depart school at 9.30am by coach (Compass Royston) and will return to school for 3pm.

Mr McKay will lead the visit and will be accompanied by other nursery staff. Pupils are covered under the school’s insurance policy. A full risk assessment has been undertaken by the leader. A qualified first aider will be accompanying the trip. There will be a charge of £11 per pupil for this trip.

Pupils are expected to demonstrate excellent behaviour at all times and to follow instructions given by the accompanying adults. A packed lunch and snack will be supplied by school.

For the trip the children will need the following items:

  • Trainers with good grip or wellington boots (depending on the weather)
  • Warm socks
  • School tracksuit bottoms
  • School polo shirt
  • School sweatshirt
  • Waterproof coat (school coat)
  • Over trousers
  • School hat
  • Gloves (not mittens please)


Please complete the attached consent form and return to Mrs Green by Wednesday 11th February.

Please could you ensure if your child suffers from asthma or severe allergic reactions that appropriate medication is given to their teacher on the day, without this they will not be allowed to go on the trip.
