28th February 2014

Dear Parents,

Nursery visit to Hardwick Country Park, Sedgefield.

Nursery children will be visiting Hardwick Country Park on Wednesday 26th March.  We shall depart at 9.20am and will be travelling by coach, Compass Royston.  The pupils will have a packed lunch at the park then return to school for the afternoon session.

The children will participate in some ‘hands on’ experiences based on our topic ‘Dragons and castles’. They will have the opportunity to explore the woodland area and take part in practical craft activities.

The children should wear their school jumper and tracksuit bottoms, outdoor coat, hat, scarf and gloves.  The children will wear either trainers or wellington boots depending upon the weather on the day.  Pupils are expected to demonstrate excellent behaviour at all times and to follow instructions given by both the accompanying adults and the staff at the park.

Pupils are covered under the school’s insurance policy.  A full risk assessment has been undertaken by the leader.  A qualified first aider will be accompanying the trip. There will be charge of £5.70 which will be added to next term’s school fees.

Mr McKay will lead the visit and will be accompanied by other nursery staff and parent volunteers.  If you are able to volunteer, please complete the slip below and return to Miss Everington via the school office. Please complete the  consent form and return to Mrs Green by Friday 7th March.

We endeavour to take photographs on as many school trips as possible, please visit our website, Facebook and twitter pages to see a selection of photographs.

Yours sincerely,

Mr I McKay
