Year 11 Risk Taking Behaviour Roadshow

Dear Parents

We have arranged for Year 11 pupils to take part in an hour long Risk Taking Behaviour Roadshow, which is designed to support our PSHEE programme, during their games lesson on Tuesday 28th April.  The roadshow aims to provide young people with the skills and knowledge they need to make informed and healthy decisions during their transition from adolescence into adulthood.  The road show will be led by Youth Direction Stockton-on-Tees, with input from public health professionals, and pupils will take part in a carousel of activities which will focus on the following areas:

  • Drugs and Alcohol
  • Sexual Health
  • Peer Pressure
  • Risk Taking

We are holding a parents’ meeting to give you the opportunity to view the material used in the session and discuss the content.  The meeting will be led by the Sex and Relationships Coordinator for Stockton, Eve Conner-McGill and will take place in the school hall at 4pm on Thursday 23rd April.

Please indicate below if you are able to attend this meeting and return the slip below to your child’s form tutor by Friday 17th April.

Yours faithfully

Carole Blyth
