Year 2: Norton Village: Wednesday 24th June 1.30 – 3.00pm
As part of their geography topic on the local area, Year 2 children will be visiting Norton village. During the visit the children will learn how to put their map work skills into practice by following a set route and identifying places such as the library, telephone box, post office.
Pupils are covered under the School’s insurance policy. A full risk assessment has been undertaken by the group leaders. A qualified first aider will be accompanying the trip.
Mrs Summers and Mrs Hampton will lead the trip and will be assisted by Mrs Green.
The children will wear their school uniform. Please ensure they have their outdoor coat in school in case of inclement weather. We also advise that sun cream of the ‘once a day’ type should be applied before school. Pupils are expected to demonstrate excellent behaviour at all times and to follow instructions given by the supervising adults.
Please ensure that you have notified school of any changes to your contact numbers and any new medical conditions for your child and ensure any inhalers/medications are given to your child’s teacher to take on the trip.
We endeavour to take photographs on as many school trips as possible, please visit our website, Facebook and twitter pages to see a selection of photographs.
