Dear Parents,

Year 3 & 4 visit to the ‘Big Sing’ at The Sage

Year 3 & 4 pupils will be taking part in the Big Sing at The Sage, Gateshead on the afternoon of Thursday 2nd July. The Big Sing offers a great opportunity for pupils to learn new repertoire and to expand their musical horizons in a fun and engaging way, culminating in an uplifting performance at The Sage.

The party will travel by coach, Compass Royston, departing at 12 noon and return to the Nursery & Infant School at approximately 4pm. The pupils will have an early lunch at 11.30am in the Nursery & Infant School. They will need to bring a bottle of still water. An afternoon snack will be provided. The children should wear their School uniform and waterproof coat (jumpers are not required); they do not require pocket money. Pupils are expected to demonstrate excellent behaviour at all times and to follow instructions given both by the accompanying adults and staff at The Sage.

Mrs Tayler & Mr McReddie will lead the trip. They will be accompanied by staff from both the Main School and the Nursery & Infant School. A qualified first aider will accompany the trip. Pupils are covered under the school’s insurance policy. A full risk assessment has been undertaken by the group leaders.

The cost of the trip will be £12 which will be added to next term’s School fees. If you have recently changed your contact details, please ensure School has the necessary information.

Please ensure that you have notified School of any changes to your contact numbers and any new medical conditions for your child and ensure any inhalers/medications are given to your child’s teacher to take on the trip. We endeavour to take photographs on as many school trips as possible, please visit our website, Facebook and twitter pages to see a selection of photographs.

Yours sincerely,
