Year 3 visit to The Sage
Year 3 pupils will be taking part in ‘Ten pieces’ at The Sage, Gateshead on the afternoon of Friday 11th March. Ten Pieces is an exciting initiative for schools, led by BBC Learning and the BBC Performing Groups that aims to open up the world of classical music to a generation of children and inspire them to develop their own creative responses to ten pieces of music.
The party will travel by coach, Compass Royston, departing at 12.10 and return to the Nursery & Infant School between 3.45 – 4pm, depending on the traffic. The pupils will have an early lunch at 11.35am in the Nursery & Infant School. They will need to bring a small bottle of still water. An afternoon snack will be provided. The children should wear their School uniform and waterproof coat (jumpers are not required); they do not require pocket money. Pupils are expected to demonstrate excellent behaviour at all times and to follow instructions given both by the accompanying adults and staff at The Sage.
Mrs Tayler & Mr Haywood will lead the trip. They will be accompanied by Miss Everington and one adult helper. Mr Haywood will act as the trip’s qualified first aider. Pupils are covered under the school’s insurance policy. A full risk assessment has been undertaken by the group leaders.
The cost of the trip will be £13 which will be added to next term’s School fees.
Please ensure that you have notified School of any changes to your contact numbers and any new medical conditions for your child and ensure any inhalers/medications are given to your child’s teacher to take on the trip. We endeavour to take photographs on as many school trips as possible, please visit our website, Facebook and twitter pages to see a selection of photographs.
