Year 5 pupils will visit the Hancock Museum on Thursday, 5th November 2015. The pupils will explore the Egyptian exhibition to support their learning in our history topic about the Ancient Egyptians. Pupils will examine artefacts to gain a greater understanding of life in ancient Egypt.
There is no cost for the trip. Pupils will leave school at 9.00am and return to school at approximately 3.50pm for pupils to be collected as normal at the end of the school day. We will travel to and from the venue on school minibuses. Parents will be informed if the return time changes.
Pupils should wear full school uniform and a packed lunch will be provided for pupils and can also bring a snack as they would for a break time. Pupils will have the opportunity to visit the gift shop at the museum. We would ask that pupils bring no more than £5.
Please ensure if your child suffers from asthma or severe allergic reactions their inhaler/medication/epipen is with them, if they do not have them, they will be unable to go on the trip.
The trip will be subject to the conditions as set out in the Parent Contract, and will be covered by the school’s insurance policy. A full risk assessment has been undertaken by the group leader, a qualified first aider will be accompanying the trip. Personal items such as, personal stereos, iPods or cameras are not allowed. The school cannot be held responsible for the care of these items if any pupil brings them, and insurance will not cover them.
