This term pupils in Year 7 will be covering the topic of “Seashore”. They will develop their studies of natural form shells using a technique of look, think and draw. To complement their studies and to help their research and evidence gathering we will be taking the children to the Blue Reef Aquarium, Tynemouth on Monday 19 September.
We will be leaving school at 8.45am prompt, using Compass Royston Coaches. A packed lunch will be provided by school. We will return to school at approximately 3.30pm.
Normal School rules will apply, including the wearing of uniform and the prohibition of sweets and chewing gum. Staff will take a first aid kit with them, and there are first aid facilities
at the aquarium. Please ensure if your child suffers from asthma or severe allergic reactions their inhaler/medication/epipen is with them, if they do not have them, they will be unable to go on the trip.
The cost of the visit will be £17.00 which will be added to your spring term account.
Pupils are covered by the School’s insurance policy. A full risk assessment has been undertaken by the group leaders. The trip will be subject to the conditions as set out in the Parent Contract, and will be covered by the school’s insurance policy.
Personal items such as, personal stereos, iPods or cameras are not allowed. The school cannot be held responsible for the care of these items if any pupil brings them, and insurance will not cover them.
