JuniorYear 6 Pupils Achieve Success at F1 in Schools Competition
Year 6 pupils at Red House School demonstrated outstanding talent, creativity, and teamwork during the recent F1 in Schools competition at York University, earning awards for their innovative designs and presentations.

Two teams from Year 6 competed in the prestigious F1 in Schools challenge, putting their engineering, design, and problem-solving skills to the test. Both teams impressed judges and peers alike, walking away with well-deserved accolades.
The team ‘Dashing Doughnuts’ received the Team Identity award for their exceptional branding and cohesive team image, which was evident throughout the design, manufacture, and racing process. Meanwhile, ‘Dashing Dinos’ earned the Pit Display award for their engaging and dynamic display, complete with roaring dinosaurs to bring their Jurassic Park theme to life.
These achievements highlight the pupils’ enthusiasm for STEM and their ability to work collaboratively on creative and technical challenges. Experiences like these help foster confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Congratulations to all pupils who participated, we are incredibly proud of your hard work and dedication.
