Jacob – Head Boy
I was delighted to be selected for the role of Head Boy for the year 2021/2022. This last year has been challenging for all of us, but we have been so well-supported by our teachers, both educationally and mentally. I am really looking forward to the next year where we can hopefully spend more time together in school.
Red House School excels in presenting opportunities for every pupil, whether it be academically or developing their passion for sports and creative arts. One of my favourite subjects is Maths, because I and the other pupils in my class have a great understanding of the topics. This same teaching standard is repeated throughout every other subject, and pupils are supported to achieve their best.
I am looking forward to the challenge of supporting the school and being a role model for the younger pupils, ensuring we as a school continue to offer an outstanding experience for everyone at Red House.
I feel fortunate to be part of the school and can honestly say that it has given me the self-confidence and opportunity to grow and develop socially and academically; I want others to experience this too. I look forward to my final year at Red House and I am pleased to have the responsibility of working with the prefect team to link the pupils to the teachers.
Jess – Head Girl
I am elated to be Head Girl at Red House School, for the academic year 2021/2022. A year that promises to be so much, as we transit from ‘pandemic lockdown and educational restrictions’ back to freedom to play team sport, present theatrical shows, and the hustle and bustle of the pupil filled corridors!
Red House School provides a strong foundation of academic, sporting, and social capability, as we are encouraged to engage on many fronts. Diverse and fun, schooling in Red House is made an enjoyable and great learning experience, a large family able to develop and nurture us all in so many ways.
I look ahead to a great year, with many highs for us all and hopefully very few lows; great experiences to be shared in all that we do and enjoy. Most importantly, I look forward to working as a team with both pupils and staff.
Alexander – Deputy Head Boy
I am thrilled about being chosen to be this year’s Deputy Head Boy at Red House School. For many, this year, like the last, will be tough and unique, with trials around every corner, as we work through the global pandemic that is COVID-19.
I enjoy Red House, with my favourite subjects being English and History, I love to learn about the past, as that is what moulds the future, not only this but History is very interesting, with varying time periods to learn from. I also find English enjoyable, as we are able to find deeper meanings to fascinating literature written by famous writers.
Not only have I enjoyed my academic subjects, but the opportunities offered by the drama department as well, with productions such as ‘Bugsy Malone’, ‘Joseph’ and ‘Oliver!’ taking place. I thoroughly enjoyed partaking in all of them and hope to again take part before my time at Red House comes to an end.
I have been lucky enough to be at Red House for my entire school life. I am delighted to be a part of the Red House family and hope to improve it in any way that I can.
Rose – Deputy Head Girl
I was overjoyed to be appointed as Red House School’s Deputy Head Girl for the academic year 2021/2022.
Having been a pupil at the school for 12 years, I have concluded that Red House is a tremendous, nurturing and happy environment – not just to learn within, but also an environment in which you can grow as a person, create lifelong memories and build lasting friendships. The education provided at Red House is one of quality. Teachers are helpful, easy to approach and always go the extra mile in order to better every pupil. The school is also committed to providing excellent facilities to support all pupils in all areas of school life.
During my time at Red House School, I have grasped many opportunities whether it be playing matches in various sports teams, taking part in competitions – not just within the school but also nationally, as well as rehearsing for productions and more. The range of co-curricular activities have helped me gain confidence, leadership and speaking skills.
As Deputy Head Girl, during my final year at Red House, I am looking forward to welcoming pupils into our Red House family, whilst also working with staff, pupils and the rest of the Senior Prefect Team to make a positive change.
