The Department for Education has published its tables detailing how well each school in the country has performed in the 2013 GCSE examinations.  Red House School has once again been ranked the Number 1 Independent School in the area.

Mr Alex Taylor, Headmaster, said

“We are delighted that we have maintained our ranking as the Number 1 Independent School in our area. We are consistently ranked the highest in these tables against other local independent schools and we continue to outperform other local authority schools in our area.

I am immensely proud of our talented pupils. Their hard work and determination, the dedication of our teachers and the strong support from parents have produced these results.”

He continued:

“At Red House we encourage children to not only achieve their full potential academically but to excel in all aspects of school life.

Through sport, music and our wide range of co-curricular activities children are encouraged to develop their individual gifts, talents, skills and knowledge so that they become confident individuals.

We also ensure that small class sizes are maintained so that our dedicated teachers are able to recognise and nurture these individual talents.

We provide a warm and caring family environment where teachers, pupils and parents work closely together to create a genuine sense of community”.

The latest news from the Department of Education adds to Red House’s other outstanding achievement of being ranked the top performing co-educational independent school, without a sixth form, in England in the Sunday Times Parent Power 2013 League Tables.
