Curriculum

In the Senior School we offer a curriculum which usually leads to at least 9 or 10 GCSEs with teaching targeted at grades 9-4 (A*-C)

All pupils entering the school must have the potential to access this curriculum. Children wishing to join the Senior School will undertake a series of short assessments used to assess their academic potential. This assessment is not normally competitive except for entry to Year 7 where demand for places is high.

We offer a broad academic curriculum, taught by professional and committed teachers, all highly qualified in their subject. Throughout the school pupils are taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics separately rather than having a general science lesson. Children also continue to receive sport and music lessons by specialist teachers.

Our class sizes remain small, even by independent school standards, and pupils are encouraged to aim high.
