About us

Red House is a unique independent school at the heart of Norton village.

Red House was founded in 1929 by a group of parents who wished to give their children the best start in life by providing them with the best education possible.

This remains just as true today with teachers and parents working closely together to ensure our pupils achieve their very best.

Children are very much allowed to be children at Red House, with a focus on developing a love of learning.

Confidence and individuality are encouraged throughout their journey. This leads to excellent academic results but also produces truly well rounded young people, equipped and excited for the world ahead of them.

Ideal Location

Situated on the picturesque village green in Norton, Stockton-on-Tees, Red House boasts a beautiful setting in an ideal location.

The school is minutes away from the A19 and A66, providing easy access to Sedgefield, Wynyard, Hartlepool, Durham, Middlesbrough, Northallerton, Stokesley, Stockton and Darlington.

Parents can take advantage of our school bus service, which covers an extensive part of our region, including the outlying areas to the north and south of the Tees Valley.

Our bus service is very flexible and can be booked on an ad hoc basis to meet individual requirements.

An Education Enjoyed

We believe enjoyment is crucial to successful learning.

Happy children are more engaged, inspired, motivated and eager to learn.

By developing a passion for learning Red House gives pupils the best possible start.
