JuniorSubject Spotlight: Exploring the Magic of Forest School
Forest School continues to be a much-loved part of life at Red House School, offering pupils the chance to learn, explore and grow through hands-on adventures in the great outdoors.

Led by our dedicated Forest School practitioner, Ms Reily, sessions take place in our woodland learning environment, where curiosity and creativity flourish. Pupils are encouraged to explore nature, develop practical outdoor skills and work collaboratively as they solve problems and take on new challenges.
A highlight of the experience is our very own enchanted outdoor classroom, a stimulating and imaginative space that invites pupils into a world of adventure and exploration. This unique setting enhances their learning, inspiring both creativity and confidence as they engage with the natural world.
Forest School activities range from building shelters and learning fire safety, to identifying wildlife, team-building tasks and developing resilience through real-world experiences. Each session is carefully designed to nurture independence, problem-solving skills and a deeper connection with the environment.
Forest School remains a favourite for many pupils, offering a refreshing change of pace and meaningful opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. With Ms Reily’s expertise and enthusiasm, every visit to our woodland area is filled with discovery, growth and a sense of wonder.
