SeniorRed House School Pupils Shine in National Language Games Competition
Pupils from Red House School’s Language Games Club have enjoyed an exciting and intellectually challenging year, exploring a fascinating range of languages including Ancient Greek, Finnish, and Penang Hokkien. Their dedication and enthusiasm led to outstanding success in the national Language Games competition, with four pupils reaching the prestigious final.

Language Games Club Inspires a Love of Languages
At Red House School, we are proud to offer enrichment opportunities that encourage curiosity and academic excellence beyond the classroom. This year, pupils in our Language Games Club have embraced the challenge of learning and analysing a variety of unique languages from around the world.
From the classical foundations of Ancient Greek to the linguistic complexity of Finnish and the rich cultural heritage of Penang Hokkien, pupils developed impressive language analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.
The club has provided an exciting opportunity for pupils to deepen their understanding of linguistics while developing a greater appreciation for global cultures and languages.
Success in the National Language Games Competition
The Language Games is a prestigious national competition that brings together talented young linguists from across the country.
We were delighted that Daniel, Gareth, Kayden, and Rosalie progressed to the final, earning places among the top 30 young linguists in the UK. Reaching the final is an exceptional achievement and reflects the hard work, dedication, and talent of all four pupils.
Competing at this level required strong analytical thinking, pattern recognition, and the ability to apply language-learning strategies to unfamiliar linguistic challenges.
Outstanding Achievement for Kayden
All of our finalists performed brilliantly and represented Red House School with great skill and determination.
Special congratulations go to Kayden, who achieved an outstanding second place in the national final. This remarkable accomplishment highlights both exceptional talent and a strong commitment to learning.
Kayden’s success is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful reflection of the high standards of academic enrichment at Red House School.
Celebrating Academic Excellence
We are incredibly proud of every pupil who took part in Language Games Club this year. Their enthusiasm for language learning and willingness to embrace new challenges has been inspiring to see.
Congratulations to all involved, and especially to our finalists, for their incredible success in this year’s competition.
