Red House Pupils Excel in British Physics Olympiad

Pupils at Red House School demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication in the prestigious British Physics Olympiad’s Physics Challenge, achieving outstanding results.

Our Year 7 and 8 pupils shone brightly in the competition, competing against more than 6,700 students from 81 schools. Their hard work and scientific curiosity were rewarded with an impressive haul of 12 Gold, 62 Silver, and 7 Bronze awards – a remarkable achievement!

Meanwhile, our Senior pupils faced fierce competition from over 13,000 entrants representing 273 schools nationwide. With only 16.8% of participants securing a Gold certificate, we were incredibly proud that 68 Red House pupils, an outstanding 77% of our cohort, achieved this top award.

These exceptional results reflect the talent, commitment, and enthusiasm for physics that our pupils bring to their learning. Events like the British Physics Olympiad challenge encourage problem-solving, analytical thinking, and scientific curiosity, providing a platform for pupils to test their skills against the best in the country.

Well done to all pupils who took part, your achievements highlight the exciting opportunities for learning and growth at Red House School.
