JuniorYear 4 Enjoys Exciting Physics Lesson in the Senior School
Year 4 pupils recently enjoyed an exciting visit to the Senior School, where they took part in a hands-on Physics lesson led by Mrs Hagiu. The engaging session introduced the children to the fascinating world of electricity, giving them the opportunity to explore scientific concepts through practical learning and experimentation.

Exploring Electricity Through Hands-On Learning
The lesson focused on understanding how electricity works and how it powers everyday devices. Pupils were encouraged to think like young scientists as they investigated electrical circuits and discovered how different components work together to create a complete circuit.
Working collaboratively, the children built their own circuits and tested their ideas, developing both their scientific knowledge and problem-solving skills. The practical activities helped bring classroom learning to life and encouraged curiosity about the world around them.
Learning About Conductors and Insulators
As part of the lesson, Year 4 explored the important difference between conductors and insulators. Through a series of experiments, they tested a variety of materials to discover which allowed electricity to pass through and which blocked its flow.
This interactive approach helped pupils understand key scientific principles while building confidence in conducting investigations and recording observations.
Building Confidence in the Senior School
The visit also provided an excellent opportunity for Year 4 pupils to experience learning in the Senior School environment. Spending time in specialist science facilities and working alongside Senior School staff helped to build familiarity and excitement for the years ahead.
Sparking a Love of Science
The Physics lesson was a brilliant example of how practical experiences can inspire a love of learning. From building circuits to investigating conductors and insulators, Year 4 embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and curiosity.
A huge thank you to Mrs Hagiu for delivering such an engaging lesson and helping to spark a passion for science in our young learners. It was a truly electrifying experience that lit up their day!
