Junior School Celebrates Maths Rocks Day with Times Tables Rock Stars Fun

Pupils in the Junior School recently enjoyed an action-packed Maths Rocks Day, celebrating their enthusiasm for mathematics through games, challenges and creativity. From Times Tables Rock Stars achievements to maths-themed activities and impressive rockstar costumes, the day was filled with energy, teamwork and a love of learning.

Maths Rocks Day: Celebrating Times Tables Success

The day began with a special assembly recognising the fantastic efforts pupils have been making on Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) and NumBots. Children were praised for their dedication to improving their times tables knowledge and number skills, which are such an important part of mathematical confidence.

The assembly also included lively team maths games, laughter and even some spectacular air-guitar performances as pupils fully embraced the rockstar theme. The creativity on display through costumes and enthusiasm set the tone for a brilliant day ahead.

Fun Maths Activities in the Classroom

Teachers across the Junior School planned a variety of engaging, maths-filled activities to keep the excitement going throughout the day. Pupils took part in interactive challenges, problem-solving tasks and collaborative games designed to show that maths can be both fun and rewarding.

These activities helped reinforce key skills while encouraging teamwork, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning mathematics.
