Whole SchoolRed House Pupils Excel in National Maths Challenges
Pupils at Red House School showcased exceptional mathematical talent in a series of national competitions, achieving outstanding results across Primary, Junior, and Intermediate Maths Challenges.

In the Primary Maths Challenge, our Year 5 pupils earned 2 Gold, 6 Silver, and 8 Bronze certificates, with a special congratulations to Edward and Parker for their Gold awards. Year 6 pupils achieved 1 Gold, 10 Silver, and 8 Bronze certificates, with Willow securing the Gold.
Our Junior Maths Challenge competitors in Years 7 and 8 also excelled, earning 4 Gold, 5 Silver, and 15 Bronze certificates. A special mention goes to Ollie, Rosalie, and Oliver, who progressed to the extension round. Ollie achieved an outstanding 124/135, just two questions shy of a perfect score.
In the Intermediate Maths Challenge, Red House celebrated a record-breaking year, awarding 42 certificates — 7 Gold, 18 Silver, and 17 Bronze. Year 9 pupils participated for the first time and made a remarkable impact. Benjamin, our overall school winner, achieved the highest score ever for Red House, becoming the first pupil to score over 100 marks in the challenge.
Benjamin and Naina progressed to the extension round, achieving Silver and Bronze respectively. Additionally, a huge congratulations to Ollie, Rosalie, Naina, and Benjamin, who won the Teesside heat of the National Team Maths Challenge and proudly represented Red House in the National Finals in London.
These achievements highlight the pupils’ dedication, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for mathematics, reflecting the exciting opportunities for learning and growth at Red House School.
