Red House School Athletes Shine at ISA North Athletics Championships with 18 Podium Finishes

Red House School is celebrating an outstanding performance at the ISA North Athletics Championships, where 42 talented athletes proudly represented the school at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Outstanding Success at the ISA North Athletics Championships

Competing against 15 schools from across the North region the ISA North Athletics Championships brought together some of the strongest young athletes from independent schools across the North of England. Throughout the day, Red House competitors rose to the challenge, delivering personal bests, strong team performances and a host of medal-winning results.

From track events and relays to field disciplines including high jump, long jump, shot put, discus and javelin, Red House pupils showcased their athletic ability and commitment in every competition.

Strong Performances from the Pre-Junior Team

The Pre-Junior athletes enjoyed an excellent day, securing several podium finishes and valuable points for the team.

Highlights included:

  • Isabelle claiming 3rd place in High Jump.
  • Daisy securing 3rd place in the 1500m.
  • William earning 2nd place in the 1500m.
  • Josh taking 3rd place in the 200m.

The Pre-Junior girls finished 5th overall, while the boys secured 6th place in the team standings.

Junior Athletes Continue Red House Success

The Junior team produced another strong set of results, contributing significantly to Red House’s overall success.

Notable performances included:

  • Faye finishing 2nd in the Hurdles.
  • Phoebe earning 3rd in the High Jump.
  • Abi taking 3rd place in the 1500m.
  • Josh securing 2nd place in the Triple Jump.
  • Jacob claiming 3rd place in the 300m.
  • Ethan finishing 3rd in the Hurdles.

The Junior girls finished 5th overall, with the boys placing 6th in a highly competitive field.

Intermediate Athletes Deliver Podium Finishes

The Intermediate athletes produced some of the day’s standout performances, helping the boys’ team secure an excellent 3rd-place overall finish.

Key achievements included:

  • Luke winning gold in the 800m and 2nd in the Relay.
  • Haemle finishing 2nd in both Shot Put and the Relay.
  • Douglas securing 2nd in the Long Jump.
  • George taking 3rd in the 200m.
  • Erin achieving 3rd in both Discus and Javelin.

These performances demonstrated the depth of talent within the Intermediate teams and highlighted the dedication shown throughout the athletics season.

Team Spirit and Sportsmanship on Display

Beyond the medals and podium finishes, the championships provided an opportunity for pupils to demonstrate the values that define Red House School. Athletes supported one another throughout the day, while families, staff and teammates created an incredible atmosphere from the stands.

The resilience, determination and sportsmanship shown by every competitor were a credit to both themselves and the school community.
